Peace and Gratitude

Inner Peace and Gratitude – Inner Peace is an internal state of peace, both spiritually and mentally.

When all the chaos and noise in your head quiets the threads start to untangle and it provides you with the opportunity to see the space between.  It gives you the silence you need in a chaotic world.

Inner peace allows you to open the eye of your mind and recognize how busy it has become.

When you achieve inner peace, you will recognize the stress and anxiety that you carry with you daily. And it’s your opportunity to clean out the closet. The modern world has turned your mind into the junk drawer of your body.

It’s teeming with so much information, it can be impossible to keep track of everything. You might be dealing with mental health issues or overwhelmed at work, intentionally drawing closer to religion or intentionally pushing it away. There are all types of issues and situations we face and facing them with inner peace will make life easier.

The pursuit of inner peace means taking a step back from your active self to put distance between you and your state of distress and find calm.

Inner peace is achieving contentment and happiness by connecting with yourself. It is being a fuller, more authentic version of you, rather than trying to add or take away. It’s about rediscovery.

Inner peace is being who you want to be but ensuring it is always a better version you achieved through calm and presence of mind. It’s letting go of worries that weigh you down and superficial pain. It’s accepting everything as it is and knowing that while you will do
better, you are good as you are.

Inner Peace and Gratitude – Practice Gratitude

Your inner peace requires you to practice gratitude. Just as chasing material wealth won’t bring joy, nor will ignoring your bounty bring contentment. While you may want more, there is plenty in your life to appreciate.

You will find peace easier to find when you look at all of the things that make your life full.

* Keep a gratitude journal. It’s an easy way to remind yourself of exactly what you have to be thankful for.

* To truly enjoy the good things in life, sometimes you have to reflect on the bad.

* Thank service workers when they serve you.

* Pay attention to the language you use and how you interact with negativity and positivity.

“Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today, and creates a vision for tomorrow” ~ Melody Beattie

  1. These are great tips! I love keeping a gratitude journal and am always mindful to thank those who help and serve.

Watching my language takes more diligence on my part but is some of the most meaningful work I’ve done.

  2. Peace and Gratitude….Don’t forget to take some time with your dog, taking a peaceful walk, sitting with them at the park, beach, or even back yard and just breathing- writing in your journal- pulling out your camera and taking some photos of your best friends to hang on your walls showing some peaceful times together!

Ok, am I obsessed or what? I can talk D O G all day long! Having grown up going to Catholic school and believing in God- and thinking about things the last few days, I suppose I truly believe Dogs are the reflections of God and are here to help us keep the peace. Why else would they be service dogs, emotional support, and/ or therapy dogs!??!?!

  3. Hello from a fellow YL lover!
I too feel peace cannot truly exist without gratitude. I’m doing my best to put it more in the forefront of my mind and not just when I remember to be present for all that I am grateful for. I appreciate the reminder and that I need to use my gratitude oil.

Oh, and I see you are a cravings coach…I wish I knew you at 10 am this morning. LOL

  4. I appreciate so many people in my life and thinking of them even when not around gives me a sense of peace and gratitude. Just before bedtime, I meditate to clear any negativeity from my mind and think only positive thoughts. This gives me peace for a full night’s sleep.
