Aromatherapy for Stress

Essential Oils and Aromatherapy for Stress ~ Scientific studies have proven that aromatherapy using essential oils has a positive impact on symptoms of depression.

The aromatic molecules in essential oils have a direct influence on the areas of the brain that control our emotions.

This causes feelings of depression, anxiety and stress to be alleviated.

Researchers have found that aromatherapy treatments helped elevate moods and decrease the periods of depression.

* Heart Rate
* Blood Pressure
* Stress Levels
* Breathing
* Lung Function

The natural aromatic molecules contained in essential oils rapidly access and influence the brain, notably those areas that affect mood.

This causes a reduction in symptoms of anxiety and stress and helps prevent and overcome depression.

Lemon Essential Oil

Lemon Essential Oil can be used as an antidepressant. Its fresh scent provides an uplifting effect which is needed by people afflicted with the symptoms of depression.

Experts say that relief is made possible due to the interaction of the lemon scent and a specific part of the brain affected by depression symptoms.

As a result, the hormone dopamine is increased. It also increases the levels of tryptophan in the brain.

  1. Frankincense and eucalyptus are two of my favorite scents. I use oils in a humidifier especially on days that I’m coughing a lot. Thanks for keeping this holistic practice to the forefront of our minds.
