I just made travel arrangements and bought my Airline Tickets for February 2023.  This time Patrick Kados (the love of my life!) will be joining me and I’m so excited to be able to share this wonderful adventure in Paradise with him.  Beautiful beaches, blue skies, turquoise water.  So Magnificent!

  1. I have visited a few islands in the Caribbean, but I have not yet been to Grand Cayman. I have wanted to visit for a while now because it seems like a really beautiful place. I have friends who have been there, and they always come back with amazing stories and pictures.

I would love to spend a week on Grand Cayman Island, relaxing on the beach, exploring the island, and just generally enjoying myself. To learn you lived there for 4 years at a time… I am jealous!

    Thanks for sharing!

  2. In my 20’s, I read a book that took place in the Caymen Islands. I remember how beautiful the scenery was described in the book. 10 years later, the book was made into a movie. The movie was filmed in the Caymen Islands. Because of this book and movie, a visit to the Caymen Islands is on my bucket list.
Thank you for sharing your experience visiting your son on the beautiful island of Grand Caymen.

  3. I haven’t been to Grand Cayman…yet. But I do share your love of traveling with those who are important to you and a love of the beach. I hope you have a wonderful trip and than you for sharing this.

  4. Diana, I am so jealous! I would love to be going on this Caribbean trip in February next year.

I’ve been to the Grand Cayman Island once when I was on a cruise ship that docked there. I LOVED it. Of course, the big attraction was to take a trip out to the sandbar to feed the stingrays. I’m not much of a swimmer but I wanted to experience this and I did! Your post and pictures brought back all those beautiful memories. Thank you for the trip down memory lane!

  5. I love Grand Cayman! It must be wonderful to have a good reason to visit each year! It’s great you have a special someone to take with you for this next trip!
