Reduce Stress And Find Inner Peace and Tranquility

Reduce Stress And Find Inner Peace and Tranquility – 5 Activities That will help

Would you like to achieve inner peace? Are you exhausted by the guilt, pain, and resentment you have carried through life? Are you tired of responding impulsively, negatively or overreacting? If everyone was being honest, they would admit that negative moods influence them sometimes.

It doesn’t matter how sincere you are, these old habits die hard. They aren’t harmless bad habits; they are stealing your joy. It all throws us off-center and ultimately, it makes you unable to effectively cope with life.

You cannot reduce stress and find inner peace and tranquility when you don’t feel great. That means you need to look after every aspect of yourself, spirituality, physically, emotionally, mentally, and intellectually. Look after yourself and your body will respond in kind.

  1. Meditate

The power of meditation cannot be underestimated. While experts may spend hours in meditation, you don’t have to. Create a daily schedule that dedicates 10 to 15 minutes to meditation. Meditation is all about clearing your mind and learning to be present. As you meditate, your focus should solely be on your breath.

When you focus on your breath, it allows you to push everything else out of your mind. With every inhale/exhale, push negativity from your mind and embrace the inner peace and tranquility. Meditation is a great solution when you’re feeling stressed out. It’s something that you can do anywhere and everywhere, but make sure you dedicate that time to meditate quietly at home. Anything else you do is gravy.

  1. Mindfulness

Mindfulness is not the same as meditation, though it’s possible to practice mindful meditation. When you’re mindful, you’re fully present. You become completely aware of your sense of smell, touch, taste, hearing, and sight.

You can practice mindfulness when you eat, when you listen to music, when you take a hike. It’s simply about engaging all of your senses to push everything else out of your mind. There is less time to worry when you’re focusing on the reality, you’re living in instead of thinking about what-ifs.

  1. Deep Breathing

Deep breathing is an activity that promotes inner peace and tranquility, similarly to meditation and mindfulness. There are a wide variety of deep breathing exercises that you can use. However, there is one I prefer when it comes to promoting inner peace and tranquility. I imagine my breath as colors. I assign a color to positivity and one to negativity.

As I inhale, I see myself drawing in blue air, it’s all positivity. When I exhale, I imagine a rush of black air being expelled from my lungs, it’s all negativity. I inhale positivity and I exhale negativity. This simply adds an extra layer of stress relief to the deep breathing practice. The purpose of deep breathing to promote inner peace is that your mind is drawn to the process of breathing and it’s life-enhancing properties.

Take a deep breath in through your nose, focus on your diaphragm and lungs as you do and hold it for a few beats before you expel it from your mouth. Repeat this five times.

  1. Be True To Yourself

How can being true to yourself be an activity? When you are in harmony with yourself you will behave how you think and feel.

The problem comes in when you see yourself as one thing but are perceived as something else. You can use a notebook to keep track of incongruence. This is something you can correct if you develop self-awareness and try to act in line with your values.

  1. Gratitude

If you want to promote inner peace and tranquility, then you need to focus on all of the positivity in your life. A gratitude journal is an excellent way to remind yourself of everything you love in life. Once you start writing out what you’re grateful for, you will find it easier to see more positives. It’s all about training yourself to be more aware of the positive things in life.

Coronavirus Self-Isolation 101 Things To Do

Coronavirus Self-Isolation: 101 Things To Do – Get our Free Ebook with 101 ideas.
https://www.diana2.com/healthy_life_style.html

The Coronavirus has no doubt shaken the world and has brought us to a point where we
can no longer engage in activities that used to make up our daily routines. Our lifestyles
have been completely turned upside down, and we have found ourselves stuck at home
for an unexpected amount of time.

Coronavirus Self Isolation Diana Walker

Whether we are working, studying, or just lazing around, somehow the days just seem
longer. So, what do we do now with all this time we have with, alone or with our
families, unable to go out except for essentials? Surely we can use this time better.
Let’s take it as a break from the world! We get to be at home all the time, and isn’t that
what we thought we wanted up until a month ago? We get to be around our family as
much as we want, which, as many of us are discovering is not all it’s cracked up to be!

But we can make the most of it, can’t we?

So how about something to help you get through this time and not go insane? This might be the perfect ebook for you!

We have suggested 101 ways to keep you and your loved ones entertained whilst you try
to get through this lock down…and just maybe reading this ebook could be the start of
something great!

Here are examples of our 101 Coronavirus Self-Isolation Ideas:

Coronavirus Self-Isolation Idea #25 – De-Stress:

The current circumstances have left us all feeling anxious. Engaging in some breathing
exercises or meditation to calm the nerves will help ease the stress. Keep yourself calm
during this time and take part in activities that relax you to keep the panic from
spreading…yoga, tai chi, mindfulness. Maybe we can’t stop Corona, but we can sure
combat stress.

Coronavirus Self-Isolation Idea #50 – Play Games with your Family:

Perhaps it’s time to revert back to the era of no internet, of landlines and self-entertainment. Engage your family in some hearty games that are sure to leave everyone laughing. It could
be Marco Polo, hide and seek, card stacking, chess, checkers, a hula hoop competition or any other game you enjoyed as a child. Whether you have children in the family or not, this could be
a fun way to spend some time together.

Coronavirus Self-Isolation Idea #87 – Cut your Hair:

You might not be a hair stylist or even good with scissors, but with salons and barbers closed, cutting your own hair might be the only available option if your hair has grown to be unruly.
You can watch tutorials online to guide you as you try your hand at a new haircut. And if anything goes wrong, don’t worry; with any luck it will grow out by the time the quarantine is
over!

Coronavirus Self-Isolation Idea #100 – Make a Bucket-list:

While you’re in self-isolation, your mind must be swarming with thoughts about all the things you could have done while you were ‘free’ but didn’t or all the things you wish you could be doing.
Jot them all down into a list and make it your bucket-list that you can try and achieve once the isolation ends.

#101 – Make Resolutions:

It might not be New Year, but who says you can’t try to turn over a new leaf? Write resolutions for yourself to achieve during self-isolation and try to accomplish them while you’re at
home, such as losing weight or learning something new. You may very well come out of this quarantine, a whole new person!

Are You Stressed Checklist

Are you stressed Checklist.  Cravings for junk food, sugar, alcohol, smoking, all increase in our fast-paced world, and especially when we are under extreme stress, or stress for long periods of time.

Here is a checklist – How much stress are you under?  Are you suffering from too much stress?

  1.  Anxiety or panic attacks?
  2.  Pressured, hassled, hurried?
  3.  Irritable and moody?
  4.  Trouble concentrating?
  5.  Trouble sleeping?
  6.  Tired much of the time?
  7.  Sad and depressed?
  8.  Close to tears much of the time?
  9. Drinking too much alcohol, smoking, doing drugs, especially to help you through difficult times?
  10. Physical reactions – stomach problems, headaches?
  11. Allergic reactions – eczema, asthma?
  12. Overeating?
  13. Eating when you’re not hungry?

If you answer Yes to more than 4 of these questions, you are stressed.

You can’t continue on this way.

10 Steps to Stress Management Stress Relief

– I have some suggestions

  1. Say No– do not over-schedule yourself
  2. Rest— Get a good night’s sleep
  3. Do not work more than 9 hours in a day (I know, I know, there are lots of us who find this almost impossible!!)
  4. Relax– Take at least half an hour off in a day – just for you.  Practice a relaxation or stress-reduction technique.  Go for a walk, listen to music, practice deep breathing, spend time with your pet.
  5. Eat regular and healthy meals and snacks– junk food, sugar and alcohol cravings are going to come when you have low blood sugar – Nutrition is a key factor.
  6. Exercise– we all know how important this is for stress reduction and to raise the endorphins.  Even 10 minutes of exercise, 3 times a day, will really decrease your stress levels.
  7. Do not drink alcohol, smoke or use drugs to relieve stress.
  8. Laugh– enjoy movies, cartoons, time with family – whatever lightens your mood
  9. Slow down– make sure you check in with yourself, and learn to recognize your own stress levels.
  10. Work on having a positive attitude on an ongoing basis.  Watch what you are thinking.  Your outlook, attitude, and thoughts influence stress levels.
